to Amwell Farm was established in 1988 in Conroe Texas area. Barb and Dick Van Liew have been working with and riding horses for over 55 years.
Barb is a third generation horsewoman. She showed ponies as a child, then advanced to horses. She showed dressage on the east coast in the 1960s and 70s. Barb attended Harcum Junior College in Pennsylvania and received a degree in Veterinary Technology. After graduating, she has worked at several Veterinary clinics, most recently Equine Veterinary Associates in Conroe, TX. Barb is still riding and ocassionally showing. Her newest interest is learning to ride side-saddle! Dick works with farm construction and maintenance projects.
Our goal is and has been to provide the best care for you and your equine friends at our clean/safe facility. Recently we have started offering PEMF therapy to support quicker healing and optimal equine health. Please plan to schedule a visit to our facility soon to truly understand our operating philosophy. Our facilities include:
10 x 15 ft stalls that are cleaned daily
daily turnout on grass pastures with shelters in every pasture.
70x120 ft covered arena with lights
AC in tack room
grain and hay feed twice daily
supplements added as supplied by owner.
